The Free Trial period, which starts as soon as you sign up or register with Textnock, will last for 14 days. After 14 days, your Free Trial session will expire and any remaining Credits granted for the Free Trial period will no longer be available.

You will receive 50 free Credits for your Free Trial period. You will be able to send SMS and MMS (corresponding rates applicable) to cell phone numbers within the US. We would like to suggest that you try out our “Campaign” feature that allows you to set up and execute either a SMS or MMS campaign. You will also be able to add and store unlimited contacts using your Textnock dashboard.

Some of our key features are provided only to our premium or paid subscribers. Therefore, you will not be given access to Textnock “Inbox” feature during the course of your Free Trial period. In addition, you will not be given your own private number which would prevent you from receiving SMS or MMS.

No. You will not be required to enter your debit/credit card information to enjoy our 14-Day Free Trial period. The only pieces of information you will need to sign up or register with Textnock is your chosen email address and your cell phone number.

Scheduling Messages

Textnock’s “Schedule Texts” feature allows you to automate dispatching of your SMS and/or MMS to either individuals or via campaigns at your specified date and time.

The “Schedule Texts” feature is available in Texnock’s “Inbox” and “Create Campaign” features.

Using our “Inbox” feature, you will need to do the following:

  • - Select or Add a cell phone number
  • - Compose your message (SMS or MMS)
  • - Select a Date and Time
  • - Press the Send button

Using our “Create Campaign” feature, you will need to do the following:

  • - Add “Contacts” by selecting the appropriate option
  • - Compose your message (SMS or MMS)
  • - Press “Start Campaign” button
  • - Select a Date and Time
  • - Press the “Start” button

Sending SMS

The term SMS is short for "Short Message Service" and it is a modern means of communicating by sending text messages from and to cellular phones. A single SMS has a limit of 160 characters.

If your message exceeds 160 characters, you will still be able to send your message. However, your SMS Count will increase with every 160 characters added to your message body. For example, a text message with 240 characters will have a SMS Count of 2 and a text message of 500 characters will have a SMS Count of 5.

It will cost 1 Credit to send 1 SMS (or SMS Count of 1). If you are out of Credits, you can still send SMS at the cost of $0.03 per additional SMS.

Yes. You will be able to send SMS messages in other languages other than English and it will be received in the exact same manner as it was sent. If the characters are not similar to that of English Language, the SMS Type will be identified as “Unicode”.

Sending MMS

MMS stands for 'Multimedia Messaging Service' is a telecommunication feature that allows users to send messages containing multimedia content such as a PXT, a picture message to and from cellular phones.

The maximum limit of multimedia content allowed per MMS is 1 MB. You will not be allowed to exceed this limit. To send additional multimedia content, you will need to send additional MMS.

You can send MMS using our “Inbox” and “Create Campaign” features.

Using our “Inbox” feature, you will need to do the following:

  • - Select or Add a cell phone number
  • - Compose your SMS message
  • - Upload Images (max. limit of 1 MB)
  • - Select from the upload images to add to MMS
  • - Choose Schedule of Delivery
  • - Press the Send button

Using our “Create Campaign” feature, you will need to do the following:

  • - Add “Contacts” by selecting the appropriate option
  • - Compose your SMS message
  • - Click “MMS” button

Creating SMS & MMS Campaign

To create or set up a customized SMS and/or MMS messaging campaign, you will need to follow these steps:

  • - Select method of adding Contacts to campaign
  • - Add relevant Contact Number or file(s)
  • - Compose your SMS message
  • - Upload and add images to your message
  • - Press “Start Campaign” button
  • - Input a unique name for your campaign
  • - Choose Schedule of Delivery
  • - Press the “Start” button

There are 5 ways Contacts can be added to a messaging campaign in Textnock and they are as follows:

Entering Number This option allows user(s) to send SMS and/or MMS to a single cell phone number. User(s) therefore have to enter that cell phone number manually into the corresponding field.
Choosing This option allows user(s) to add a specific list of.
Contact Category contacts compiled within a customized Category created using the “Contacts List” feature.
Upload Contact File This option allows user(s) to directly upload a CSV or XLS file, which must be formatted exactly as the Example file that is available for download in the exact same location.
Upload Contact and Message File This option allows user(s) to directly upload a file consisting of the list of contacts to be added in the messaging campaign and also the message body. The file uploaded must follow the exact same format as demonstrated in the Example file that is available for download in the exact same location.
Use Parameterized Contact List This option allows user(s) to upload a file consisting of list of contacts with several parameters. After uploading the file, user(s) will be able to sort the list applying filters based on the parameters added. Again, an Example file is available for download to showcase the exact structure the file must follow prior to being uploaded in Textnock.

For the purposes of mass texting campaign, we recommend use of Toll-Free number capable of sending only SMS messages at the rate of 1200 messages (or SMS Count) per minute. Texting campaign with MMS can only be done via Local Number at the rate of 6 messages (or SMS Count) per minute. In order to obtain a private Local Number, you will need to have a premium subscription with Textnock.

Of course. Once you start a text messaging campaign in Textnock, the records of all of your campaigns are stored and can be accessed by you through your own Dashboard.

If you click on the SMS & MMS tab in your Dashboard and then click on the “Campaigns” option, you will find the list of all the campaigns you have launched using your Textnock account. In order to look at the details of your campaigns, just click on the individual campaign to access all its corresponding details.


Inbox

No. The “Inbox” is a premium feature and it is only made available to our paid subscribers.

You will be able to send as well as receive both SMS and MMS messages. Also, you will be able to see the chain or history of messages sent to and received from any particular number. The Inbox feature accommodates the provision to schedule the delivery of your text messages to your chosen date and time. In addition, you will be able to add a new number to your Contacts List using “Add New Number” function available in the Inbox feature.

Without the Inbox, you will not be able to receive any messages (both SMS and MMS). It will not be possible for you to access the full history of message exchanges with any particular number all at the same place.


Contacts List

At first, you have to access the Contacts List feature in your dashboard. Then, you will have to create a new category by clicking on “Add New Category” button if no other categories exist or you would to save the new contact within a new category.

After selecting a Category from the “Contact Category List” page, then click on the “Add New Contact” button.

After clicking on the “Add New Contact” button, you will be directed to the “Add New Contact” page. You will find 2 tabs there: Upload File and Paste Contact

The “Upload File” tab allows you to simply upload a CSV or XLS file consisting of a list of contacts that you would like to add to your Textnock dashboard. Keep in mind, that the format of the file has to exactly match the Example file, which you can download. After uploading the file, press the “Create” button and the contacts in the uploaded list will be added to your Textnock dashboard.

If you want to add Contacts individually, then switch to the “Paste Contact” tab. Then, fill in the Number, Name and Email Address and press “Create” button. Your new contact will be added.
It is also possible to Add New Contacts using the Inbox feature.


International Texting

At present, Textnock does not provide any International Texting feature or private International Numbers. However, we are currently in the process of implementing the International Texting feature in our platform and we expect to make it available very soon.



PREMIUM OR PAID SUBSCRIPTION

Visit the “Recharge” tab in your dashboard and recharge any amount equal to or above $10. Press “Proceed” button and you will be required to enter your payment details to successfully process your transaction.



SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATION

It is very easy to cancel your subscription. Just click on the “Premium Packages” tab and then press the “Cancel” button.



REPORT GENERATION

Visit the “Reports” tab and you will have options to generate your SMS Messaging activity and Subscription History.

For SMS Messaging activity, click on “SMS Report” and then click on “Create New Report” button. Enter the Date Range of your choice and press “Create”. Your report will be ready to download in a matter of few seconds. In addition, your Dashboard homepage will have an overview of your recent activities ready.
